HUMMINGBIRD
Guest Book Comments:
"We stayed at Hummingbird during a drive back into Oregon. We called ahead looking for info on wine tours and Leslie helped us find a great place for dinner and enjoy the Applegate Valley Wineries. The Cottage [Pumphouse] was available and this made our trip very easy and comfortable. After a great breakfast we enjoyed a tour of the pottery studio and found a perfect Meiners plate to take home to remember the trip.
Don't even think about staying in a Hotel when you are near this beautiful retreat."

The first adobe building constructed at HUMMINGBIRD years ago became known as the "pumphouse" because of its proximity to the well. It has served several purposes over the years and most recently was spiffed up to be another place to house guests! Staying in this small adobe cabin is several steps above camping in that the room has consider-able charm, is cool in summer, very quiet and furnished with a double bed. However, there is no plumbing so guests need to walk about one minute to the full bath in the studio.
Breakfast is served on the house deck or in the dining room.
Well behaved dogs are allowed in the Pumphouse. The charge is $10/night (inquire for longer stays).
An under-counter refrigerator, microwave and sink in the studio building are available for simple food preparation for an additional $10/day for stays of three nights or more.
